Hurricane Noel to Deliver High Surf to East Coast!

hurricane noel east coast surf Best NY swell since Thanksgiving ‘06?
Recently upgraded Hurricane Noel will take a very favorable track for our area over the next 48 hours, delivering solid surf in the 8-10′ range, starting with some Easterly windswell and SE groundswell filling in behind it. Strong NE winds (25-40kt) will prevail and keep conditions challenging but clean throughout the day, with small leftovers on Sunday and NW winds.

  1. my question is, where can you surf when winds are expected to be gusting to 60mph? id hate to sit it out on saturday because of extreme winds (i only have a 3/2 and i cant fit my feet into my fins if i have boots or socks on (i have a size 15) — with my luck sunday morning will be knee to waist high and ill have missed a killer swell once again.

    stupid 3/2….

  2. I was at the Jersey shore a month ago…. left double over head Huntington Beach and had 2-3ft beach breaks… now it is as flat as a board in SoCal and NJ/NY get “epic swells”…. bummer!
