JENKS/NYBB PRO
There’s a buzz around town in Pt. Pleasant this Labor Day Weekend as some of the World’s best bodyboarders decend on the tri-state area to compete in the upcoming Jenks and NYBB
Pro USBA Tour events. The Jenks period will run from Aug 30-Sept 4th, and then the action moves on to New York for the NYBB Pro Sept 5-9th. It looks like initial heats or the Jenks will get underway this weekend with some NE wind swell on tap so stay tuned to USBAtour.org website for details. For the NYBB, we’re currently monitoring several areas of potential development for our time-frame - worth mentioning are two areas of low pressure currently off the SE coast, and a tropical wave 500 miles East of the Lesser Antilles that could develop into a TD. Right now it’s too far out to tell what if any surf we might get out of it, so stay tuned for updates as things unfold.
