The Bodyglove Bodyboards United States Bodyboarding Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Sport Chalet, a leading operator of full service specialty sporting goods stores with more than 50 locations in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. Under this exciting new partnership, Sport Chalet has come on board as the USBA’s new California Regional Tour title sponsor. Sport Chalet will also be offering special USBA branded promotions throughout the summer months while the Tour is taking place. The Sport Chalet California Regional Tour is part of first tier in the three tier (regional, national & international) competitive tour format that the USBA has rolled out across the nation for the USBA 2008 season. Jason Bitzer, founder of the USBA and Bodyglove Bodyboards Athlete, stated,”I find it hard to think of a better suited supporter of the USBA California Regional Tour. Sport Chalet has reached out to the bodyboarding community in full force. The Sport Chalet USBA California Regional Tour will carry heavy weight on the Bodyglove Bodyboards USBA National Tour as it features regional and national events on its 2008 schedule. These high-profile events will guarantee the attendance of the USBA top 16, including Jeff Hubbard, two-time USBA National Tour Champion. Hubbard was excited to hear the news of the new partnership, saying, “It is really cool to see a powerhouse retailer like Sport Chalet giving back to the sport and the youth through this partnership via the USBA. These USBA West Coast events should be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to them.”
With the top riders in the United States competing in these events, it will be a great show for all who come out to watch the Sport Chalet California Regional Tour in person or online. In addition, Sport Chalet representative Todd Klasky said there are many USBA-branded promotions set for the summer. “Sport Chalet is excited to be able to promote the sport, the riders, and itself in such a positive atmosphere,” Klasky added. “One look at our bodyboard and accessory assortment this season and you will see that our position within the sport is very different. The partnership between our two organizations is a huge step in separating Sport Chalet from the competition of other general sporting goods chains.
